about the artist

Robert is a Bristol-based artist where he is a member of Spike Island print and Maze ceramics studios.

Up until 2017 he was an academic at a local University after which he left to pursue art full time. For his printing he employs a range of techniques including dry point etching, intaglio, woodblock cut and screen printing. His ceramics is made utilising mainly hand coiling and slab building techniques. His designs tend to be geometric abstraction.In addition to creating prints and ceramics, Robert also does oil/acrylic paintings. His influences come come primarily from his designer father particularly as well as from the natural environment.
